CorSera: Messias’ permanent Milan deal will be announced in the coming days

By Euan Burns -

The permanent deal for Junior Messias to join AC Milan will be finalised and announced in the coming days, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), Milan have agreed on a fee with Crotone for Messias and it is just a matter of days until the deal is officially announced to the fans.

The Brazilian player spent last season on loan at Milan from Crotone after they were relegated to Serie B.

Milan wanted to sign him permanently this summer but there has been a delay as they wanted to pay a lower fee than Crotone were demanding. The Rossoneri have managed to get the figure down to €4 million which leaves more money available for other deals.

Messias was a very useful player for Stefano Pioli in rotation with Alexis Saelemaekers on the right-hand side.

He scored five times in 26 appearances for the Diavolo last season.

  1. Bad decision if buy him before sell or release castilejo. That will make RW overload player and cannot sign ziyech

  2. Once upon a time there was a Sporting Director at Milan. His name was Massimiliano Mirabelli. His mouth was full of hogwash and he was carefree running it. Unfortunately, he did not congratulate the current crop of leaders at Milan for the 19th Scuddetto just won out of hard work of great minds!! Why?? He probably must be still sleeping off the anger and frustration of having spent arguably the biggest transfer kit at Milan for years, but left with nothing. NOTHING to show for it!!

  3. Castillejo is done with Milan and everyone knows that, whether we confirm Messias or not. Messias was a player that our management was looking to confirm, the only problem was if Ziyech was to be signed.

Call me crazy, but I see very little chance of Ziyech joining, we’re getting only one of Ziyech or CDK and CDK is much more the profile that we’d be interested in than Ziyech.

Also I think there’s close to 0% chance of Saelemakers being sold this summer. the way I see it we’re trying to recruit young players from French and Belgian leagues (cheaper players), and the way to do it is to have other French and Belgian players in the team. Having Origi and Saelemakers (both Belgian nationals) and possibly CDK is a good way to entice them. Let’s not forget that these are 18-20 year olds that are moving to a new country. Origi himself noted that Saele was one of the reasons for him picking Milan.
Also Saele got a new contract at the beginning of last year, management thinks that he’ll continue developing. Let’s not forget that before this past season, people would rather sell Leao than Saele.
