CorSport: Guinean midfielder emerges as Milan alternative to Onyedika

By Euan Burns -

Guinean midfielder Ilaix Moriba has emerged as a possible transfer alternative to Raphael Onyedika for AC Milan, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, there is a new name when it comes to reinforcing the Milan midfield.

Moriba has seen his career take a downward turn after leaving Barcelona for RB Leipzig in Germany.

He has not been able to make an impression in the Bundesliga and has since been loaned to Valencia in La Liga where he has also struggled to impress.

He has now been approached by the Rossoneri who could offer a new environment for him to refind his best form given he is still only 19 years old.

The Guinean was in the Barcelona academy between 2010 and 2019 and then he made 14 appearances in the first team in 2021. He then joined Leipzig as part of a €22 million deal which has not worked for either party.
