AC Milan have submitted a big to sign Giannis Konstantelias from PAOK Thessaloniki amid interest from other top European clubs, a report claims.
According to InsideFutbol, Milan have placed a bid worth €10m to try and convince PAOK to sell the 19-year-old attacking midfielder ahead of the summer window after he grabbed the headlines with a magnificent assist in the win over AEK Athens at the weekend.
The report mentions that Milan’s bid is not the highest as Red Bull Salzburg have gone in with an offer of €12m, while the Greek side also know that Chelsea and Leeds United in the Premier League are watching him closely.
PAOK want around €15-€20m before agreeing to let Konstantelias leave ahead of next season, with LaLiga duo Barcelona and Sevilla also mentioned as being admirers of the teenager’s talent, meaning it could become an all-out auction to land him prior to 2023-24.
The player holds a valuation of 400k on transfermarkt so even paying 10 mil for a player who has played 18 matches this season in the greek league and scoring once and assisting 5 times seems rather far fetched and excessive in my view.
But personally I think he would be a better investment than Diaz. I just watched him the first time and he looks good already, proper talent and players we need to focus on. If we wait and he goes to even Fiorentina, in a year or 2 he will be too expensive for Milan…
Maybe and ill admit that i doesnt know too much of the player but still there is still some distance between playing decent in the greek league and in the italian one and if paok actually expects teams to pay 15-20 mil it is a far fetched request for a player that hasnt really proven anything neither in greece or at his loan at eupen in belgium. That kind of money seems easily invested more wisely. Anyways doubt milan would even pay ten mil for the kid,
The boy is actually really good and Paok will get more than 15m sooner or later.
His goals/assists don’t tell the whole truth, more advanced stats show that he is already the best player of the league in many areas (with excellent numbers).
He is real talent, his style fits greatly to Milan (unlike CDK for example) and 15m would be a good investment.

The fact that RB salzburg is interested with a 12mil offer should tell you about the qualities of the player of course, which means he is damn good and he is ONLY 19. But he wont come to milan. Its not about price.. its Pioli.
Whats the point in buying any YOUNG Player under Pioli anyway. We cant even use CDK who was a beast in Belgian league and we are expecting an unknown youngster in some Greek league to be the next Kaka? Aint happening. When he would see Krunic picked as CAM over him its career over. lol

No young CAM is gonna even consider Milan as a chance with Pioli under the helm. Hope Pioli can get over his trust issues and starts to bet on new talents instead of relying on low quality ones.

If Lazio fail to make the CL I’d definitely go for SMS. All-in TBH. If we get him we can lock in CAM and throw away the key. Find a loaner for CDM for a season if we don’t have any more funds.
This is nonsense. Our bid is LOWER than a bid already made. How do you expect to win an auction if you bid LOWER than the highest bid? LOL. Because we’re Milan? That won’t make a difference if PAOK simply rejects our bid BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HAVE A HIGHER BID.
The key word here is BELGIAN LEAGUE which is DIFFERENT than Serie-A.
He’s 5ft 8in. We don’t need an attacking midfielder. We need another midfielder who can destroy and service the attackers.
