AC Milan are hoping they can break a record and gather over €10 million in stadium revenue from the Champions League quarter-final against Napoli later this month, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan has the potential to raise more money from one game than any Italian team ever has before.
No one has ever reached €10 million but it is a record that seems destined to get broken soon given €9,133,842 was raised during the home leg against Tottenham Hotspur in the round of 16 this season.
Given this is one round further and it is an all-Italian tie with slightly more expensive tickets in some areas of the stadium, there is a very real chance that the €10 million mark will be hit.
The game will of course be sold out in due course. The game will take place on April 12 and the return leg will be in Naples a week later.
