TMW: Milan abandon pursuit of PSG defender due to player’s disinterest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have crossed a name off their list of centre-back targets as they are no longer considering a move for Abdou Diallo of Paris Saint-Germain.

That is according to TMW, who claim that Diallo of PSG is no longer to be regarded as a target for the Rossoneri despite weeks of speculation suggesting that a potential loan deal was being pursued as the Senegal international was viewed as a replacement for Alessio Romagnoli.

However, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara – in talks with Diallo’s entourage- never got the impression from the player that he had any desire to wear the Milan shirt which has put them off any idea of accelerating further.

Furthermore, the lack of agreement with PSG on formula and costs has led to the conclusion that Diallo is no longer among Milan’s objectives. Now, they must turn to alternative options in the final fortnight of the window.
