CM: Milan ready to accelerate for Bremer in January – two potential counterparts in the deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again been linked with a move for Torino defender Bremer, but they face competition to land him as per a report.

Last night, Torino president Urbano Cairo opened to the idea of selling Bremer when the window reopens even if he did suggest that a decision has not yet been made. According to Calciomercato.com, Inter, Lazio and above all Milan are very interested in signing Bremer and Torino could take advantage of this.

Paolo Maldini is looking for a new centre-back given Simon Kjaer’s season-ending injury and while Lille’s Sven Botman remains a welcome profile, he would be very expensive. In terms of price and knowledge of Serie A it seems Bremer is a more realistic target, but Cairo has asked for no less than €15m so far.

Milan now though are ready to accelerate the negotiations with Torino by exploiting a market axis consolidated in recent seasons through the Niang, Rodriguez, Laxalt, Meité and Pobega operations. The Granata want to keep Pobega after his loan but Andrea Conti is also a subject of interest too.

The Rossoneri are not currently convinced by the idea of losing control over Pobega, but they do see Conti – albeit with his contract set to expire in six months – as someone who could be included in the deal.
