AC Milan will evaluate young midfielder Yacine Adli during the summer training camp before they decide whether to loan him out or not, a report claims.
As has been reported today by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Adli will be among the new faces at Milanello this summer as he is returning from his loan spell at Bordeaux.
Milan brought him last summer from the French side but then immediately loaned him back to continue his development.
Stefano Pioli will be tasked with assessing how the midfielder performs in the first few training sessions before feeding back to the club.
They will then decide if he could play a role in the first team next season or if he should go on loan again for more regular football.
The 21-year-old was very highly rated in France when Milan made the decision to buy him for €8 million. He has registered eight assists and one goal in Ligue 1 this season.
Can’t wait to see him play in Milan. I’m very courious how he will perform here. I have high hopes for him, but there is still a lot of doubt wether he can make a step from Bordeaux to ACM.
Agreed. And fans need to give the kid some time, a year, to get used to the new league and the club. We can’t expect him to start and be our savior at the CAM from day 1.
Hes young enough that if we loaned him to a mid table Serie A club for regular football (like we did with Pobega last season) it wouldn’t be a waste.
I see him fulfilling the role of Krunic as a utility squad midfielder, but if we keep Lord Krunic (who was surprisingly good in the title run in) then we probably won’t need Adli’s versatility. This is all assuming we sign Sanches + AMC + RW as suggested by the media.
He can play all over the midfield but he is way more skilled and with superior technique over Krunic. Love Rade but he is just a guy running around doing dirty work. This kid got talent.
And im absolutely against loaning him out. Even if he comes off the bench he has the quality to change the game. We don’t have many players in the squad that can do that
