CM: Milan sent scout to watch Adli plus another midfielder during Bordeaux-Lyon

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan sent a scout to watch a Bordeaux midfielder in action last night, a report claims, and it was not loanee Yacine Adli.

It has now become common knowledge that Milan love a scouting mission in France as they see it as a good place to find value, and Calciomercato.com writes that the management sent an observer to the game between Bordeaux and Lyon, one of the more fierce rivalries in Ligue 1.

The game ended 2-2 at the Matmut-Atlantique stadium and of course the scout will have watched the performance of Yacine Adli closely, given the Franco-Algerian playmaker will officially become a Milan player in June 2022 having signed in the summer but having been loaned back.

His 21-year-old team-mate Jean Onana was the other man that the Rossoneri have taken a keen interest in. He is a physically strong midfielder who is more suited to a double pivot and is showing exponential growth with the Girondins, so much so that he has become a regular starter.

Given that Kessie and Bennacer are away for AFCON in early 2022 cover may be sought but it is worth noting Onana is a Cameroon international, so would not solve that problem.
