A derby could erupt off the field during the summer transfer window because AC Milan are keeping a close eye on Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian, who Inter have some control over.

Milan are expected to embark on a sort of ‘Italian revolution’ during the summer, focusing on a sporting director and head coach who know the league well, as well as players who have Serie A experience too.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress), the Rossoneri are closely monitoring Giovanni Fabbian, a midfielder currently at Bologna. This problem is that Inter have a buy-back option in the summer of 2025 (and 2026) for €12m.

The Rossoneri’s scouts have followed him live on various occasions in recent times and his profile would fully satisfy the identikit of a player capable of reinforcing the midfield: young, talented and Italian.

According to the newspaper, the 21-year-old would be one of the alternatives to Samuele Ricci, valued at €35m by Torino. Much will depend on Inter and the decision they will make regarding the right to bring him back.

We must also recall that Milan have done business with Bologna recently, with Tommaso Pobega there on loan with a €12m option to buy, and with Davide Calabria having gone there in the summer.

  1. Good sub for Tiji…

Him, Ricci and CDM would fix our midfield… Maybe Pobega can give us make-weight with Bologna, since we gifted Calabria alredy?!

Adli cancels out Sottil, maybe Terracianno homecoming + 10-15M for Coppola, if we switch to 3 men defense Goglichidze from Empoli also look promising and they have Colombo and Vasquez from us…

Bennacer, Kalulu, Morata, Tomori, RLC, Emerson should give us 80-85M. I wouldn’t even mind giving up Thiaw for Tonali.

If we also use Udinese’s internal-issue with Lucca that could give us sub for Gimenez on loan+obligation.

IN: Tonali (I know too much enthusiasm but Frendrup/Varela would also do), Ricci, Goglichidze (if Thiaw leaves), Fabbian, Coppola, Walker, Sottil, Lucca, Saelemakers

9 deals out of which 2 are homecomings, 2 are activated buy-options… the rest of the 5 have Serie A exp

    1. Idzes (Venezia) is better than Goglichidze & maybe cheaper too,
young but play like veteran Serie A defender, he close-down Lukaku & Valhovic, just check the game if need proof
