AC Milan are closing in on being able to announce the signing of André from Corinthians, according to a report from Brazil.
Out of nowhere, Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday night that Milan are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign the young midfielder in a deal that would be worth around €12-13m. This was then pretty much confirmed by Corinthians director Marcelo Paz in an interview given late last night.

According to ESPN Brasil, André’s transfer to Milan has not yet been fully finalised by Corinthians, but the deal could still go through regardless of president Osmar Stabile’s signature.
The Rossoneri are protected primarily through the exchange of contract drafts, with a significant portion of the documents already signed by Corinthians’ legal department. There are also several corroborating emails sent from the Brazilian club’s side.
In this case, there is a legal term for the context being defended: binding offer. It is a formal legal document that establishes a commitment between the parties, obligating them to comply with the terms, values and conditions.
If Stabile refuses to sign off on the deal in the coming days, Milan are considering taking the matter to FIFA to resolve the situation. The player meanwhile has already agreed personal terms over a contract until 2031.
Last Friday, after approximately two weeks of negotiations, the Rossoneri finalised all the details of the purchase, with the total value reaching up to €17m. It will be €15m plus €2m in bonuses for 70% of the player’s economic rights – the portion that belongs exclusively to Corinthians.
The remaining 30% of the rights belong to the player himself, who, in turn, agreed to waive that amount, all to speed up the process and travel to Italy soon to undergo medical examinations. The permanent move, however, would only be after the World Cup.
Corinthians also secured 20% of any future sale fee. At 19 years old, André is currently one of their stand-out players. He gained notoriety in the final stretch of last season and, since then, has secured a starting position under Dorival Junior.
Fair play to a 19yo and his entourage being willing to give up 4.5M in order to make the move, they must have a lot of belief in his future if that’s accurate.
