Mediaset: Milan agree €18m deal for midfielder but Juventus are eyeing a hijack

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus could well be set for a summer battle to land Renato Sanches this summer, according to a report.

SportMediaset (via TMW) claim that Juventus have not let go of the idea of signing Sanches and the Portuguese midfielder is one of the targets on their wish list as they look for an upgrade on quality in the middle of the park.

However, the 24-year-old is in demand because the Rossoneri are also keen on signing him to help replace Franck Kessie numerically and at the moment it is Milan who are further ahead in the race to sign him.

There is an agreement between Milan and the Ligue 1 club on the basis of a deal worth €18m but the obstacle is the personal terms requested by Renato Sanches, who wants €6m net per season on a multi-year deal.

If Milan decide that they are not going to satisfy the demands and the player does not lower them, it could leave the field free to an attempt by Juventus.

  1. May Juventus win, so that Milan directors will wake up from this slumber and focus on what we really need. AM, RW, CF, SS, RSB and LSB.

    1. Dude ,remember AC Milan limited budget and salary cap. You cannot sign that position player in one transfer window. The best maldini can dio probably sign origi free transfer( cover CF and winger) ,botman ( cover CB that Romagnoli leave) , a new RW ( if castilejo leave and return junior to Crotone) , noa Lang ( if rebic leave ,he can cover all winger position ),LB for Theo back up ( if Balo Toure leave) , a DMF ( still unknown)

  2. For sure we need to make serious business to strengthen the attacking department. Giroud, Ibra, Lazetic, Rebic with injuries, Messiah, Alexis and most importantly number 10 who is not there are issues to takle

  3. I disagree. Take this last game against Torino for example. Who would have played with Benna out and no Kessie? What if Benna or Tonali are out long term? Krunic gonna be our man? lol no no we def need another midfielder. Really, we should change our formation to a 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2. We need that extra man in midfield to allow our wingbacks to play as freely as they do. I agree, we absolutely need the other positions as well, but with Kessie leaving, that forces our hand and makes midfield a priority. Having said that…WE NEED A WINGER, STRIKER, AND ACM LIKE UGHHH (Origi could be a solution for one of those!) We need to play with two strikers, we are Milan and two strikers set up is Milans DNA. (Uncle Fester knew this.)

  4. Kulusevski was Maldinis chance…..a Juve player which would have brought us to scudetto.
The baka/pellegri story shows the incopentence well. I mean how much more high can be scudetto chances? this year every team struggles ….and next year Leao/Theo might no be longer part of the team. What is the reason why the recurring missunderstandings from M&M weigh even havier. please imagine, milan had invested, bakas 5,5mio in a number 10 🙂

  5. If Milan (more precisely, The Elliot owners) don’t finally stop with this self-imposed austerity policy, without making any exceptions (at lest, every now and then, the way they were willing to do it with Ibra & Gigio, to whom they offered 8 mil/net), when it comes to tp players who will not just make a TRUE DIFFERENCE on the pitch & the game, overall, then, we won’t move anywhere nearer to the top UCL clubs, hoping to get to the semis, the fianls, and finallt the long awaited 8th UCL trophy! Hell, with this squad, out of which, Pioli is getting 110% of its worth, if we don’t win the Scudetto this May, we won’t do it for several years afterwards (to say the least).
Therefore, if we don’t get Dybala for free (it’s an opportunity that comes once in many, many years) to fill the quality gap we have at the right-wing position, we’ll only make a statement that every tp player in the world, shouldn’t even consider playing for AC Milan, cuz they’re unwilling to give 7, 8 mil/season, even for top players, who’d be making 10+ mil in EPL as if it was nothing! Won’t even say just what a great message it’d be for the next (especially) UCL compaign, that we’re thinking BIG, and planing to go as further as possible, regardless if we’re put in the group of death again!
I’m tired of listening ONLY about players like Origi, and others, who are 4ever subs in their top clubs!
