Igli Tare will be the new sporting director of AC Milan, with further confirmations arriving and more information emerging regarding his role.
According to MilanNews, Milan have decided to go for a traditional sporting director after all, with the final choice having been made yesterday and at the end of about three months of casting. The first interviews took place with Berta, Paratici and Tare in London at the end of February with Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
On that occasion it was Tare whose candidacy remained standing, even if in the following months it took the meetings of Furlani with Paratici and Tare himself to arrive at the final decision, with the chronicle of what happened with the former director of Juventus that is now known to all.
What will change
With the arrival of Igli Tare as the new sporting director, how will the sporting management at Milan change?
The Albanian will take charge of decisions on the market and the management of Milanello, with Giorgio Furlani as the final point of contact and an active part in the economic negotiation phase of the players to be purchased.
Geoffrey Moncada, who until now has held the role of technical director and who will soon take the exam at Coverciano to obtain the qualification to be a sports director, will work closely with Tare (there is great esteem and feeling between the two).
Moncada will maintain the position of technical director as well as being the head of the scouting area, thus regaining full possession of that position that he had already held in the years of the Maldini-Massara management.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in all of this, should see his range of action limited in everyday life, taking on more the guise of the advisor to the owners.
What about the coach? In the talks Tare had with Furlani a month ago, the two spoke of Vincenzo Italiano and Massimiliano Allegri as profiles for the post-Sergio Conceiçao era.
However, the former is in negotiations with Bologna for the renewal while the latter would be Napoli’s first choice for the possible post-Conte. It will be necessary to speed up the process if the candidate is one of these two.
Banter era here we come again
yeah, mediocare. cover problem with another potential problem
The best coach for Milan is Conte. With no European football Conte will win the scudetto with Milan giving us our 20th title and 2nd star. It’s a match made in heaven.
Agree 100%. Doesn’t Tare want Sarri tho or did I get that wrong?
I dont think Tare wants Sarri
Sarri is mainly the reason Tare left Lazio. They can’t work well together.
So let me get this straight- guy who kind of knows what he’s doing must ask guy who has no clue what he’s doing before he can do anything?
I frankly don’t understand why Tare has accepted this position. Maybe he was promised a good salary or he is a bit desperate right now.
Why is it so hard to understand? Milan is a bigger club than Lazio. If you look at the numbers Milan have bigger transfer budget. The job is simply better. Furlani wont sit there and put sticks in his wheels unless its economically problematic
And you think this is different to how all major clubs are run?! Berlusconi is the only owner in history that actually had a good eye for players. Galliani was no more than a stooge. Go through the CEOs at other clubs, it’s the same thing. Furlaini is an Elliot man, they obviously have a vested interest in how things go.
The management structure won’t change. They Tare with Furlani still having final approval on everything.
It’s a joke.
Welcome to the clown show!
So now Tare reports to Furlani, Furlani to Cardinale. Cardinale will have Zlatan in his ear, Zlatan will be listening to Moncada.
So Tare wants a player Moncada wants another. Tare goes to Furlani, Moncada goes to Zlatan.
Gerry makes the call.
Everyone is unhappy and nothing works
thats how it’s been since maldini got the boot
No Allegri please, he is outdated coach
I think he could be the decisive man but tare still confirm to furlani. Same old story.
With the change the management, wheres is Ibra position now ?? Still senior advisory with no advise ? Haha
a Skaronija ste zaboravili
Way too many names and total confusion who answers to whom. AC MIlan has lost it’s DNA on the pitch and in the front office so don’t expect anything great next few years.
Bring Conte already ffs
conte is going back to juve merda
Please get rid of at least Ibrahimovic. We do not need him around here. Ibra, Bonera, and Kirovski out please.
