GdS: €300m available and an attack to strengthen – Ajax star a €45m target

AC Milan have a big budget available for the summer window and the management are already planning how to strengthen the attack, a report claims.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) have once again stressed that sources close to Investcorp say that they are ready to invest €300m in the summer mercato if the takeover goes through.

Of course we will have to wait for the change of ownership to understand how much will be spent but the idea is to sign some quality reinforcements for an attack that is struggling this season.

Divock Origi should join on a free transfer from Liverpool and Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo remains a target, but the name of Sebastien Haller has jumped to pole in recent days. The Ajax striker has 32 goals this season and would cost around €45m despite being 27 years of age.

In addition to the name of Haller, there is that of another top player who is in the orbit of Milan in Marco Asensio. The main obstacle is that the player wants a pay rise on the current €6m net per season he earns, and now he has Jorge Mendes as an agent talks with Real Madrid over a renewal could resume, so Milan must wait for their chance to pounce.
