Juventus are planning to sell a centre-back to help fund some new signings, with AC Milan alerted to the potential opportunity.
To finance the entire revolution Luciano Spalletti has in mind, Juventus need money not only from Champions League qualification, but also from some of the players deemed no longer central to the coach’s plans who could generate significant capital gains.

Gatti on the chopping block
According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), this is the case with Federico Gatti, for whom the Bianconeri have already set a price for a potential sale.
Having been acquired from Frosinone in January 2022 (although he remained on loan until the end of the season), Gatti cost around €9m. His weight in the balance sheet is almost zero despite the last renewal until 2030 signed in July 2025.
For this reason, practically all of the proceeds that Juventus will make from his contract will be transformed into a capital gain. The figure that new CEO Damien Comolli is aiming for with the sale is €20-25m, an amount which makes it hard for Italian clubs to sign him.
In January and last summer, the Rivoli-born centre-back was linked first to Antonio Conte’s Napoli and then to Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan. Both remain interested but neither are willing to pay what Juve want at present.
So, a move to the Premier League and possibly to a club playing in Europe is more likely. Gatti has realised that under Spalletti his minutes would be minimal and, for his part, would welcome a move to another club that doesn’t represent a step backward in his career.

Even Tomori is better than Gatti
