Tuttosport: Milan eye another raid on Empoli as nine-goal playmaker becomes a target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made it their target to improve the attacking department in view of next season and they do not intend to veer away from their strategy, a report claims.

Given that Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have been inconsistent, Ante Rebic has struggled with injury, Rade Krunic is only ever used fleetingly while Daniel Maldini is young an inexperienced, it is no surprise to hear that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are after a new forward.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are among the teams that have set their sights on Nedim Bajrami. The Rossoneri have already established good relations with Empoli as seen through the Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer purchases, and they may well knock on the Tuscan club’s door again.

Bajrami seems a fitting profile for Milan because the 23-year-old Albania international is in line with Elliott’s policy to focus on talented young players, and it helps if they know the league. He has 9 goals and 5 assists for Empoli this season, so he has directly contributed to 14 of their 40 goals.
