Journalist claims Milan are negotiating with PAOK over defender rated above €10m

AC Milan have taken a step forward in their pursuit of Konstantinos Koulierakis by opening talks with his club, a journalist has claimed.

Milan are looking for another centre-back after they made the decision to send Matteo Gabbia out on loan to Villarreal, and it seems that the management are oriented towards a young profile who can grow behind the others.

According to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, Milan have ‘started to press’ PAOK Thessaloniki about Koulierakis. The Super League club are demanding more than €10m, while the offer from the Rossoneri is less at the moment.

The 19-year-old will play in the second leg of a UEFA Conference League qualifier against Hajduk Split tonight, given that he is expected to start.

After the 0-0 draw in Croatia, the second leg will be played in Thessaloniki and it will provide a chance for Milan scouts to watch him action against former Inter man Marko Livaja, who now plays up front for Split.
