Romano: ‘Here we go’ – Milan agree €3m deal for Independiente Medellín star

Out of nowhere, AC Milan have wrapped up a signing ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

Going into Thursday, we had not written a single article regarding links with Juan David Arizala, nor will many Milanisti have heard his name before. However, in the build-up to the Coppa Italia last-16 tie against Lazio, it has emerged that a deal has already been wrapped up for the winter window.

Earlier today, Matteo Moretto revealed in a YouTube video that Milan were closing in on a deal to sign Arizala, who recently starred at the U20 World Cup for Colombia in their third-placed finish. Now, things have gone a step further.

Arizala to Milan: Here we go!

Now, Fabrizio Romano has written the following on X: “Juan Arizala to AC Milan, here we go! Deal in place for 20 year old full-back to join Milan from Deportivo Independiente Medellin.

“€3m fee plus sell-on clause for one of the record sales in Colombian league history. Proposals from UK/Belgium rejected to join Milan.”

The 20-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Deportivo Independiente Medellín senior side, with two goals and one assist to his name. He can play on both flanks as a full-back, wing-back or even as a winger if needed.

  1. “€3m fee plus sell-on clause for one of the record sales in Colombian league history”

wow, clown! lol is this milan or what

    1. How much did one of the best players in history of the club cost, Kaka? I could name more than 20 players like that. I’d rather have Milan sign South American talent for 2 or 5M than “best player in Belgium” for 40M.

      1. I think you have trouble reading. 3m fee is not a problem.

but 3m, records sales in columbian league history?? Lmao

          1. I would laugh if you can beg me to buy the player out of my pocket.. and NO, at least would be someone other than him. lmao 😀

      2. Kaka? he is great,
can you lookup his fee and translate into today’s amount with Inflation, and tell us how much?? Please

I hope he was nowhere near Kunku (in the fee) ! lol

    2. You must be an idiot if you think price amounts to anything. Let me remind you, Harry Maguire is the most expensive defender in history.

      1. You too! I think you have trouble reading. 3m fee is not a problem.

but 3m, records sales in columbian league history?? Lmao

    3. And yes this is Milan, we had 3 of the greatest defenders in history, Maldini, Baresi and Cafu, and they cost us a combined fee of €0.

      1. Yes, zero fee would be good,
But they kicked out 17 yo teenage striker, can you ask your boss Cardinale “how can we have someone like Maldini, Baresi if have done it this way”

  2. Why did the club sign a new wingback just as the wingbacks were getting settled?

After years of p*sing about the club finally has shown trust in Saelemaekers.

Bartesaghi has broken into the first team.

And the club only just signed Estupiñán and Athekame.

So where’s this player going to fit?

If he’s for the primavera, futuro or whatever don’t those teams already have players including presumably players in that position?

So what’s the point of this signing?

Does the club really not having anything better to do with €3m?

  3. Well look at our bench at the moment. We turn up with half the amount as our opposition. Good to push others in training too. Maybe hes more for futuro. 3m is nothing and we’ll sell him for profit if he turns decent. Even if hes not for futuro. Loan him out for a few seasons and bring him back like saelemakers once hes learned the league. Overall 3m is pocket change so nothing lost and im sure his wages arnt crazy.
