Tuttosport: Arsenal midfielder enters Milan’s radar but the favourite remains Onyedika

By Oliver Fisher -

New names are seemingly being linked every day with regards to AC Milan’s pursuit of a new midfielder, and a target from the Premier League has reportedly emerged.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), in the last few hours, a new name has emerged for the Milan midfield and it is Alberto Sambi Lokonga. He moved to Arsenal from Anderlecht last summer and is a name that the Rossoneri had already followed for a long time when he was in Belgium.

However, the paper claims that the number one target for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara at the moment remains Raphael Onyedika of FC Midtjylland.

The news comes after reports from TMW yesterday stating that Milan are in contact with Lokonga’s entourage to try and sign him immediately. It would be another Belgium international added to the ranks after the signing of Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge, Divock Origi on a free transfer and to join Alexis Saelemaekers.

  1. Lokonga would be a loan signing at best, there’s no value for Arsenal in letting him go for less than 16m or it’ll go down as a loss, so they’d rather loan him a few times like Saliba to either develop him for the first team or to keep his value up.

He won’t play much if he goes to Milan – I suspect this is just made up nonsense, the numbers don’t add up.
