A Bola: Milan battling Arsenal, Man Utd and West Ham for €60m-rated Benfica star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in the running to try and sign Benfica’s star striker Darwin Nunez despite his big asking price, according to a report.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola (via SportWitness) are reporting that Nunez is attracting a lot of interest given his fantastic season so far. They claim that West Ham are on the trail of the 22-year-old and are one of the strong candidates to land him in the summer, but their Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs are also in the running.

The Uruguayan has 26 goals scored this season and Benfica believe they can conduct an auction of sorts, given they are protected by a release clause worth €150m in his contract.

City rivals Milan and Inter are also keen on the former Almeria star with a minimum of €60m set as an asking price at the moment given all the competition and his fantastic record.
