CM: Milan make Asensio their main attacking target as negotiations with Real Madrid begin

AC Milan have decided to intervene in the summer and to make a signing that will raise the quality of the attack, with Marco Asensio now in the sights.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have a meeting planned with Real Madrid to discuss a potential deal for Asensio and Los Blancos seem willing to hold discussions given that his deal expires in 2023 so they must negate any risk of losing him on a free transfer.

Asensio’s valuation is around €25m at the moment, but the offers that will arrive in the coming weeks – potentially from Milan and other clubs – will be more of a gauge of how the 26-year-old’s market value is determined.

The rumours about Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo and Noa Lang of Club Brugge also demonstrate that Milan want to sign a new creative player for the attack with Brahim Diaz, Messias and Saelemaekers struggling to generate end product.

The very probable departure of Castillejo and the uncertainties also linked to the future of Ante Rebic mean Maldini and Massara must intervene on the incoming market, and Marco Asensio is now the first choice.
