CorSport: Milan and Atalanta battling for €20m Czech international – Maldini’s strategy

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Atalanta have both taken an interest in signing Hellas Verona attacking midfielder Antonin Barak, according to a report.

Barak had 7 goals and 4 assists in 36 appearances last season as he impressed under Ivan Juric and in the current one the 27-year-old is already at 5 goals and 3 assists in 16 games. According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), his exploits are attracting some interest from two top clubs in Serie A.

The Rossoneri are following him as they believe he could be a useful piece for the attack, but Atalanta are also in the running and could offer a swap deal involving Aleksey Miranchuk. Milan have Barak in mind as a target more for next summer than next month but must also be careful about the competition from the Premier League.

He is valued at €20m and it is not ruled out that Maldini and Massara could secure him immediately and then let the player stay in Verona before arriving in the summer.

  1. Try your best Milan to get him and also a RW faivre should be coming to Milan this January or we do an Aflac type deal and try to seal the botman deal and sell Samu and conti and try to make 12 million.

  2. Milan try your best to get Barak but also a RW on which faivre should almost be singed in January but will probably stay at Brest for the rest of the season and secure botman now that around 55 million there but it would be worth it .
