Sky: Atalanta duo and Arsenal outcast on list of targets as Milan’s right-back search begins

AC Milan are monitoring the possibility of signing a right-back late in the transfer window given Alessandro Florenzi’s injury, according to a report.

It could be that Florenzi is out for some time after he suffered an injury last night. The full-back was chasing a ball that landed over his shoulder and he instantly pulled up grimacing in pain, and it seems ‘fairly serious’ as per the Milan boss.

According to what was reported by Luca Marchetti of Sky (via MilanNews), Milan is monitoring the situation linked to Alvaro Odriozola, the Real Madrid right-back who spent time on loan at Fiorentina last season.

However, the signing of a player to cover for Florenzi is not considered to be a pressing necessity, given the presence of Pierre Kalulu who can play on the right of the back four, though an opportunity will be evaluated in the next few hours.

Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanZone) is reporting that in addition to Odriozola there are ongoing evaluations for a potential loan move for Hateboer or Maehle of Atalanta, while Hector Bellerin of Arsenal is also on the list.
