AC Milan are planning an attempt to sign Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa this summer, according to one journalist.

Without any European football in 2025-26, though, Milan will not have a huge transfer budget to work with. Thus, they might have to be active in seizing opportunities for cut-price deals or with loan formulas, and that could apply to Chiesa.
According to the latest from DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, Milan ‘will make an attempt to bring Federico Chiesa back to Italy’. This season, the former Juventus player won the Premier League with Liverpool and has made 14 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals.
His lack of playing time has led to strong suggestions that he could leave after just one year. With the 2026 Word Cup on the horizon, it is vital that Chiesa heads somewhere with guaranteed playing time, so he is a central part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans.

First of all there were many positive comments about the Puli transfer, just that the caveat was his injury record. There were also lots of positive comments about Chuck and Musah iirc, and it was even declared that window to be ” the best transfer window in decades”. So let’s not mis-characterize. And secondly, not every “used to be good” player will come good. Just look at the other transfers literally in that same window…RLC being the prime example. We got lucky with one doesn’t mean we’ll get lucky again

Chiesa a scored 10 goals one time in his entire career. Even when healthy he basically lived off his reputation playing for Italy. I would rather keep Chuk. I think at this point, he is better.
