Sky: Arsenal hoping to save €30m by selling striker with Milan and PSG interested

By Oliver Fisher -

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would prefer a move to a European club if he does depart Arsenal in January and AC Milan are reportedly keen on a reunion.

According to Sky Sports in the UK, Aubameyang could well be set for an exit in the next week given his future at Arsenal is very uncertain after he was stripped of the captaincy and has been frozen out. Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Juventus, Milan and Sevilla have all registered interest as per the source, though Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are the only side to have made a concrete offer.

Aubameyang was first left out of the Gunners’ squads due to ‘a breach of discipline’ and he has 18 months left on his contract with the London club, so they are keen to get rid of him because they could save around £25m and an exit in this transfer window would represent a saving of around £25m (€30m) in wages.

The Gabon international has made 15 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored four in the league, and he recently came back early from the Africa Cup of Nations for medical checks after being diagnosed with heart lesions following a positive Covid test, but he is all clear.

  1. I actually don’t give a f**k anymore. I can’t stomach seeing Juve bid and likely buy vlahovic. It’s a joke. We need a goal scoring machine. Well let’s give you ibra for free, giroud for free. (Between them they can play half the league games) oh consistency up top?…we don’t need that but here’s 4 million see what you can get for that…we found a Serb who just turned 18…that’ll do. It’s a joke. While we’re fixated in getting in the umpteenth CB we’re forgetting you actually need to score goals. Drives me crazy. Even Alvarez for 17mil is way out of our reach. We finally qualify for Ucl and we just redeem the obligatory deals already in place.

    1. Every club needs a goal scoring machine. Milan’s stadium situation is keeping one hand tide behind their back until they own their own stadium Milan will have to be frugal.

    2. We bought Pierre Kalulu for 1.19mil and now he is worth 10mil, theo for 21.5 mil now he is worth 48 mil, tomori for 28mil now he is worth 45 mil, Saelemaekers for 5.25mil now he is worth 20 mil. The club has a plan but it requires patience and trust.

    3. Did you just get internet?

Vlahovic rejected EVERY club for Juve

Same as Tonali did for us

Vlahovic said that if they will not sell him he will go to juve for free in 2023.

From the start of this season he was linked with them. Only media has linked us since ‘he likes Ibra’

Alvarez has low buyout, but wants high wages like donna. Would ve same story with him. Even if salary is not a problem NO club can best City, at least until Newcastle is top 6 team

      1. True. And if I was considering between Vlahovic and Tonali I would go with Tonali. I think we were more lucky to sign the boy for nothing whilst Juve are going to put 70 millions on table.
