TMW: Milan exploring multiple centre-back targets – latest on Lille, Man Utd and PSG trio

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are currently searching for a centre-back just as they were last January, and just like one year ago they are not finding it easy to find the ideal profile.

According to what is being reported by Enzo Bucchioni for TMW, Milan have given up on signing Sven Botman because he costs too much and regardless of that Lille have no intention of letting the Dutchman go before the end of the month.

Milan are currently negotiating with Manchester United to sign Eric Bailly on loan until June, but the English club would like an obligation to buy set at €10m as part of the deal to at least recover part of the €40m they spent in 2016 to sign him from Villarreal.

Another track leads to Paris Saint-Germain’s Abdou Diallo, but the Ligue 1 side paid €30m to sign him from Borussia Dortmund and their accounts mean they cannot afford to offload him for a big loss. Leonardo would gladly sell Diallo, but has said no to a loan for now.
