Di Marzio: Milan focusing on attacking midfielder; three centre-backs in sight

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are focused on reinforcing the attack and then they will turn to the defensive department, according to a report.

A very important summer transfer window for Milan is underway, and it comes ahead of a crucial season in which the team have the double objective of trying to defend their league title while also getting out of the group stages of the Champions League, and aiming to end the Coppa Italia drought too.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio wrote a piece on the mercato for Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) and he spoke about the Rossoneri’s transfer market objectives, confirming that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will move for an attacking midfielder first.

The No.10 role is an ‘absolute priority’ for Milan, then everything else will come starting with the centre-back. He even names three targets: Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga, Manchester United’s Eric Bailly and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Evan N’Dicka.
