GdS: Milan could let Ballo-Toure and Adli leave in January – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could part with two players in the January window to create space for a new signing, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport write that Hakim Ziyech’s name has never disappeared from Milan’s wish list after they have been linked over the last few transfer windows, and another solution could arrive to give Stefano Pioli more options for the attack.

In terms of costs, the value of Ziyech has dropped below €20m which is affordable for Milan, but his salary is €6m net per season and that is right at the limit of what Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would feel comfortable paying.

Some exits would increase the operating room, with Fode Ballo-Tourè – among the seven Rossoneri players called up for the World Cup – could be sold and a return to France could well be on the cards.

Meanwhile, Yacine Adli could leave on loan to another Serie A club in order to get him more playing time with which he can get used to the rhythms of Italian football.

  1. I’m yahaya Mahmood Almustapha from Nigeria I’m Milano fan for over 15 year’s. I’m Milano fan forever and always.

    1. Diaz provided us with 4 goals and an assist (most of ’em are crucial). Even Krunic (the one who often scapegoated) provided more than 2 of those combined.

    1. 1. Best player in pre-season against WEAK teams. And the intensity of Serie-a matches are different than pre-season against weak teams.

      2. Pioli gave Adli chances as starter and sub and it was clear as a blue sky that Adli still needs a lot of time to adapt.

      1. Do you really think that 100 min spread in 4 games are “chances”? Even the best scouter in the world could not draw a conclusion based on such a sample.

        1. Yes those minutes are chances either you like it or not and you need to accept the FACT that Adli needs more time until he can become a starter.

      2. Why didn’t the other players play better against those weak teams?
Pioli gave Diaz about 20-30 chances last seasons and he still sucked, but he gave Adli one start and that’s it? He still did better than Diaz din last season.

        1. If you still have w brain, you should compare how many goals and assist Diaz had this season compare to Adli.

And Adli is slow like a turtle compare to Diaz. That’s why Pioli still choose Diaz more than Adli because Diaz offer faster pace and counter attack than Adli.

Ask yourself, can Adli do what Diaz did against Juve? If you say yes then you have no fvckin clue about Adli nor Diaz.

          1. Pace isn’t everything in football. Look how Kjaer is faring on the pitch. 1 conceded goal. Is Zlatan known for his speed? Has he been during the last 10 years?

    2. Mind you preseason games are mere friendly game which no much seriousness is attached to. If adli played well in preseason but has not played well in real games do you expect the coach to continue using him? NO. let him be loaned out please.

  2. Adli is, among other things, a great player because he often goes into one-on-one duels, of course you can lose the ball and get the counterattack, but to use that as a reason for never letting him play is poor. You shouldn’t change his way of playing but adapt the system a little to him. There are still 9others on the pitch, which can bring back the ball..give him 3 games as starter and you will see pioli
