AC Milan are interested in signing Gerard Martin from FC Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Milan were heavily linked with moves for various central defenders in the winter window, but in the end one didn’t arrive. Mario Gila has been mentioned as a target for the summer, but it is also obvious that the management will be keeping various options alive.

Martin on Milan’s list
According to Diario Sport (via Tribuna), Milan are interested in signing Gerard Martin from Barcelona. Not only that, but they claim that the Rossoneri are willing to table an offer in the region of €25m for the defender and that Barcelona may well accept it.
Last summer, it was reported that the Spaniard could make a move to the Premier League, with Wolves making an offer. However, it was not accepted and Martin ended up remaining, especially after Inigo Martinez’s exit.
The 23-year-old is a potentially versatile option given that he can play either as a centre-back or a left-back, and also potentially in a three-man defence. He played at UE Cornellà, and then joined Barcelona in 2023, initially playing for their B-Team.
Meanwhile, The Touchline report the following: “AC Milan are interested in Barcelona’s Gerard Martín ahead of next season. Even though Barcelona greatly value the player, the club’s current finances cannot allow to say ‘no’ to an offer around €30m.”

Just stick with the guy who knows Serie A..
Normally I would agree, but this guy is sooooo good and has very high potential. Would be a snatch for 25M
Not that Allegri gets what he asks for, but if it were up to him, you think he takes this kid over Gatti ad Gila? Also if he comes, does he play second string to Bartesaghi on the left flank? Does Barte take the bench and stall his development?
I think if I am Allegri, I want Gatti’s experience and his (along with Gila’s) familiarity with the league
In regards to coverage, he would be a smart signing since we could then sell estupian, he and Bartesaghi would share the fullback-left position and then if any injury problems are in the backline, then you could be moved there since we have Bartesaghi
Correction: then he could be moved there
Casado would be even better option. Zalewski is better option to upgrade Estupinan. Gila is basically done already.
RLC -> Casado
Estupinan -> Zalewski
Odogu -> Gila
Gimenez -> Vlahovic?
I would say Kean over Vlahovic but that’s just preference.
that’s why the question mark… I like Kean better but I see us agreeing with Valhovic over salary more than with Fiorentina for a cut price deal…
anything over 35M would make us back-track on him and we still need to evaluate Santi in his last 2-3 months… he might bounce back
Gerard Martin is a solid defender, what’s not helping Barcelona players is Hansi Flick’s ridiculous tactics.
