Report: Milan and Bayern Munich targeting Liverpool’s hat-trick hero Firmino

AC Milan are ready to battle Bayern Munich in the race to land Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, according to a report.

Given that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 40 years of age and Olivier Giroud is now 35, the Rossoneri continue to be linked with a number of different strikers as they look to bring in a centre-forward of guaranteed quality for the future.

StopAndGoal are reporting that the Rossoneri management are targeting top players to improve the squad more and more in view of next season, and one of them is Firmino. The Brazilian has a contract expiring in 2023 with Liverpool want to revolutionise their attack.

Bayern Munich are keen but there are other teams who are keen, with Milan thinking about the 30-year-old and expected to challenge Bayern for is signing. The Bundesliga champions are in pole, as they could lose Lewandowski who is in the sights of Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Firmino has been liked by Milan for years and he could moved to Italy when he was at Hoffenheim shirt in 2014 as the Rossoneri had the chance to sign him for €20m but everything fell through and a year later he went to Liverpool for €40m. Around €30-40m would be enough this summer.

Yesterday, Firmino scored a hat-trick as Liverpool condemned Claudio Ranieri to a terrible start to life as Watford manager, running out 5-0 winners.

  1. NO thanks no more strikers above 30 years and for 30/40 million euros we can get one younger and with space to grow to be a future world star Firmino most times is below average!

  2. 30 y old probably his last contract next, so that means no resale value and he’s on 200k a week wages. no chance he’s coming to Milan imo
