AC Milan look set to win the fiercely contested race to sign talented Vicenza striker Tommaso Mancini, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport today (via Milan News), the young striker has been pursued by all of the biggest clubs in Italy but it is Milan that has taken a step closer to getting his signature.
There have been a lot of calls for Mancini to field over the past few weeks but Milan are the team in the driving seat to add the 18-year-old forward to their Primavera set-up.
The expectation is that once he has officially signed for the Rossoneri, he will move between the Primavera and first-team set-ups depending on his form and the calendar of the two sides.
He became part of the Vicenza first-team last season and whilst he did not score, he made nine appearances. His goals have all come in for the Primavera set-up.
