CorSera: Milan look at Benfica defender to replace Ballo-Toure

AC Milan are considering making a move for Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo to replace Fode Ballo-Toure who is injured, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), the Rossoneri think that Grimaldo could be a smart move in order to provide quality cover behind Theo Hernandez.

They are light in that area of the pitch after Ballo-Toure suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery. He will be out for well over a month and it is no secret that the club are willing to sell him in the summer.

Grimaldo was once touted as a major star for the future but the 27-year-old is out of contract with the Portuguese club in the summer, meaning he could be signed in January for a low fee.

The club would then need to ensure they sell Ballo-Toure in the summer when he is fit again to play.

  1. A player in their prime are not going to want to be back up to Theo.
Either promote bozzolan or bring in an older player happy to be back up.
I think we ought to be giving our youth a chance over second rate players like ballo toure.
We lost kerkez because of this and he is hot property now

      1. Its just logic. If a player in their prime is happy to be back up to one of the best fullbacks in football then they have no ambition. Most players wouldn’t choose that.

      1. 😂😂😂
        Your not wrong!

Don’t think he expected things to go how they have, still silly decision by him
