AC Milan have one less competitor in the race to sign Andreas Christensen from Chelsea as Barcelona no longer consider him a priority, reports claim.
According to Sport (as seen below, via SportWitness), Barcelona remain vigilant on Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilucueta who are both out of contract with Chelsea at the end of the season. The two defenders are waiting for word from the Blaugrana but Xavi has changed the plans and a centre-back is no longer a priority
It comes after il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reported yesterday – among other sources – that Kjaer’s compatriot Christensen is among the names who are being considered as targets for the Rossoneri when the window opens in just under a week.
The 25-year-old former Borussia Monchengladbach man’s contract is due to expire on June 30, but there is also a chance he will renew his contract with the Blues where he has been for nearly a decade.
