PM: Milan interested in Borussia Dortmund duo to reinforce defence and attack

AC Milan are interested in two Borussia Dortmund players who could reinforce two roles where additions are needed this summer, a report claims.

PianetaMilan reports how Matteo Gabbia could leave in the summer transfer window while there is uncertainty about how Simon Kjær will return after his ruptured knee ligaments, so another central defender may be needed in addition to Sven Botman.

That is why the management are keeping an eye on Manuel Akanji of Dortmund, who could be on his way out after the signings of Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck and would leave through ‘favourable conditions’ given his contract expiring in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are also admirers of Thorgan Hazard who could arrive if there are exits in attack like Ante Rebic and/or Junior Messias, given that the Belgian can play on the left wing, right wing or as a playmaker.

The former Borussia Mönchengladbach man could represent an alternative solution for Stefano Pioli when Rafael Leão needs a rest and though he is under contract until June 2024, he could leave for €20m.
