Milan boss Pioli hints Chelsea loanee will be bought for €28m: “His intentions are clear”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has seemingly confirmed the club’s intention to buy Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea on a permanent deal.

Tomori has been fantastic since his arrival on loan with an option to buy and there have been suggestions that Maldini and Massara will not hesitate to trigger the €28m option they have, though of course a top four finish would make such an investment more manageable.

The Englishman put in another outstanding display on Sunday night, helping the Rossoneri keep a clean sheet during an outstanding 3-0 victory over Juventus that certainly gives the team a huge helping hand in their hopes of a return to the Champions League after a seven year absence.

Pioli spoke to reporters after the game and was asked specifically about what the future holds for Tomori, seemingly confirming that Milan wish to keep him beyond his loan.

“Our intention with Tomori is clear and his intentions are clear too, but that’s for the end of the season and not now,” he said (via TribalFootball).
