GdS: Botman pursuit proceeding well for Milan but Renato Sanches pauses – the reason

AC Milan’s pursuit of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches has slowed down a bit because the player has paused to reflect, according to a report.

Carlo Laudisa of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that everything seemed to be going well in the talks with agent Jorge Mendes over Renato Sanches, but then it became clear that the former Bayern Munich midfielder has something else in his head.

The player for his part would like to come to Milan, but he is also expecting some tempting offers from other clubs so he has paused for a moment of reflection on his future, given that at 24 years of age the choice of his next club is a big step.

Meanwhile, comforting signals are coming from France regarding Sven Botman. He thanks Newcastle for their interest during the January window, but told them that Milan have a particular charm which attracts him, something Maldini and Massara are looking to leverage in their attempts to get a deal wrapped up before the summer.
