Defensa Central: €22m Milan signing would help Real Madrid launch bid for €60m+ Lyon star

By Oliver Fisher -

Real Madrid could well let Brahim Diaz stay at AC Milan to collect money and create a space in the squad for one of their big targets, a report claims.

According to Defensa Central, Rayan Cherki of Olympique de Lyon is attracting interest from several elite European clubs who are set to compete for his signature in the coming months, with Real Madrid among them.

They have a plan too, the first part of which is to get rid of Eden Hazard. The Belgian winger now seems somewhat more inclined to leave after more than two years being almost irrelevant, and his exit in the summer would save Los Blancos around €25m in gross salary.

Another helping hand could come from Brahim Díaz, who has the option of returning to Real Madrid in the summer even if Milan sign him permanently thanks to a buy-back clause. The Rossoneri want to sign him permanently, and Florentino Perez knows it would raise €22m to go towards Cherki.

If both occur, Real Madrid would recoup a total of €47m, a figure that Pérez considers more than enough to start negotiations with Olympique de Lyon. However, the starting asking price of Cherki is expected to be around €60m.

  1. Send this kid back to madrid
    He’s useless.
    Weak, can’t dribble, can’t pass, can’t shoot.
He only plays well in 1 out of 15 games, he’s worse than hakan.
I don’t know what they see of him all these years, he’s not even worth 10m
