AC Milan are serious about their attempts to land Kemir Alajbegovic, but they face competition from Roma and resistance from Bayer Leverkusen.
Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) report that Alajbegovic is regarded as one of the top talents in Bosnian football, the nation that will be competing in the World Cup for the second time in their history this summer.

The 18-year-old winger played a key role in the play-offs to qualify for the World Cup, scoring the decisive penalty against Wales and putting in a performance that dazed Italian defenders. It also caught the eye of Milan, it seems.
Competition and complication
Such a young talent with such great potential is naturally being watched by several clubs. In Italy in particular, two teams are considering making a move and battling it out for the Bosnian: Milan and Roma.
Both the Rossoneri and the Giallorossi have begun to explore the possibility of a deal with the player’s agents. At the moment, however, it’s difficult to say whether or not it will be possible, especially since the situation is still evolving and quite complex.
Firstly, because there’s a World Cup on the horizon, which could put Alajbgovic on display and make him the object of desire for many others, raising the price. Secondly, because of his particular contractual situation .
This season, Alajbegovic is playing for Red Bull Salzburg. He was sold to the Austrian club last summer for €2m by Bayer Leverkusen, but they have already announced their intention to buy him back for €8m, having reserve a clause.
Therefore, starting in July, the Bosnian will go back to the German club, where he developed after starting his career at Cologne. This puts Die Werkself in a clear position of advantage.
On the one hand, sporting director Simon Rolfes has already declared his desire to develop the player over the next few years. Yet, with so many clubs interested, there is a tempting opportunity to make yet another huge capital gain.
Currently, Alajbegovic’s value has almost doubled compared to the clause, to €15m. The end of the season and especially the World Cup could change the whole scenario even further.

“He is great player, after Jamal best at that position.”
