CM.it: Milan eyeing signing of Chelsea midfielder on a free to bolster midfield

AC Milan are following the situation surrounding Jorginho closely and could throw their hats into the ring to sign him, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.it, Jorginho has encountered many difficulties in the negotiations over a renewal with Chelsea. His contract will expire at the end of the season and he is not expected to renew, with the priority instead finding an agreement with N’Golo Kanté and Mason Mount.

For this reason, Chelsea have already decided to offload Jorginho and they are willing to let him go on a free in June. A return to Italy could be on the cards where Juventus in particular have tried several times to bring the former Napoli man back to Serie A.

However, Milan have also been following his trail for the last few weeks. Jorginho could lend a big hand to Stefano Pioli’s midfield which appears to be weaker than last season, but Barcelona are also keen and are looking for an heir to Sergio Busquets to deploy in front of the defence.
