CM: Milan’s dream set to vanish as Chelsea winger wants higher salary at new club

By Oliver Fisher -

Any chances of AC Milan agreeing a January deal for Hakim Ziyech could well be out of the window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan have never abandoned the idea of signing Ziyech, having pursued a deal during the summer transfer window and with the rumours having resurfaced as we head towards the January mercato.

However, since the last meeting in October with Ziyech’s representatives, the possibility of finding an agreement next months seems to have become extremely complicated after the winger had an excellent World Cup.

The Moroccan forward is asking for a salary of no less than €7-8m net per season from his next club for when he leaves Chelsea, while it must be remembered that Milan did not even come close to offering the €6m that he currently receives from the Blues, thus it seems very unlikely they would satisfy his demands this time around.

  1. Ziyech sits on the bench for 3 years at Chelsea, barely plays, goes to the world cup where his NT has a good few weeks, and all of a sudden, he asks for even higher salary.
Based on what?. Morocco spent most of the time at the WC defending in their own half, and besides taking great set pieces and that one assist, he did nothing that would warrant him feeling himself and asking for even higher salary.
Good luck to him at still being a bench player at Chelsea

    1. Agreed. I can’t wait to see him join any other club. He is not much better than Messias, and in the WC most of what he did is pass a through ball to Hakimi, which you can see is world class. Zyiech has a good long ball, can shoot and is good at set pieces but doesn’t deserve more than Theo or Bennacer. He was previously kicked out of the Marocco team because he thinks too much of himself…horrible player for Milan…

  2. The guy is convinced that 5 decent matches at the WC can justify a salary increase of €2 mio or so per year :-))

Is it not what we call Magic?

Let’s forget this guy and move forward …

  3. Thanks, but no, thanks. I don’t want this guy, and he doesn’t deserve a salary higher than those of our best players. I read in other sources that Milan no longer considers him a target, and I hope that it is the accurate news, instead of this one in this article.

  4. I really don’t think he would fit in at all ,and demanding such a fee when he has hardly ever played for Chelsea ,ludicrous..I watched the World Cup games and he did very little ..So please don’t buy him at such high demands .I don’t think he is going to get many offers coming in from other clubs ..
