CM.it: Brahim’s struggles post-Covid force Maldini to reflect – Faivre and Ziyech among names considered

Brahim Diaz’s form since he returned from Covid-19 has not been good and AC Milan might look for solutions on the market, a report claims.

Calciomercato.it recalls how Brahim Diaz was one of the key components of the Rossoneri’s excellent start to the season as he racked up 4 goals and 2 assists in the opening 9 fixtures games, but now he is experiencing a difficult period as he has 0 goals and 2 assists in the last 9 games.

It may be that solutions are needed on the market for the Rossoneri given that at the moment the alternatives are Rade Krunic and Junior Messias, both of whom have been playing on the left wing and right wing respectively over the past few games.

To continue fighting for the Scudetto, Paolo Maldini could decide to give a new attacking midfielder to Stefano Pioli. Romain Faivre of Brest is mentioned as an option, as is Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea but his €5m net per season salary is an obstacle.

There are other options too such as Real Madrid duo Isco and Marco Asensio who also have high costs though with the latter having admirers in England, while Lille’s Jonathan Ikone is listed despite reports he is close to joining Fiorentina.
