AC Milan can start planning for a 2026-27 season which will almost certainly feature European football, with a striker being the big signing planned.
The win over Verona on Sunday saw Milan take a big step towards a return to the Champions League, with the gap to fifth place having been widened to eight points with five games to go. So, the directors must start thinking about bolstering the squad with a new No.9.

In recent weeks, numerous names have been circulating. A few days ago, news broke of negotiations for Robert Lewandowski, but Matteo Moretto poured cold water on these. The Dusan Vlahovic option appears to still be open, even if talks over a renewal with Juventus are ongoing.
Kean also fading?
One of the hottest names is certainly Moise Kean. Since Massimiliano Allegri took over the Rossoneri, there has been a lot of talk that he wishes to reunite with the Italian, who he knows well from his time at Juventus.
However, according to the Corriere Fiorentino (via MilanPress), the ankle problem that has often affected Kean this season has scared Milan, but not only them. In fact, every suitor will want to check the condition of his ankle before shelling out big money.
Even in the event of a minor problem, given the inconsistent performances and off-field issues, it seems very unlikely that anyone will pay the €62m release clause which is valid between July 1st and 15th.
The interested teams will therefore try to approach Fiorentina directly, but it remains to be seen what La Viola’s request. Given their poor season, they could choose to make a large sale to get back on track financially, without any European revenues.
In recent days, Kean has been in the eye of the storm because of a spat with internet personality Pengwin, which aired in a report on Le Iene. Then the statements from his brother Giovanni highlighted concerns about his condition.
“He’s coming off a period where he’s not feeling great. His tibia is in really bad condition. He should be out for 2-3 months while it heals, but despite that he wants to help and plays through the pain,” he said.

60m for Kean?
better spend it for someone like Osimhen,
or cheaper but better like Schick/ Aslani,
or try PL struggle like Woltemade/ Sesko/ Gyokeres/ Hjolund
No-one is talking about 60M for Kean, it’s just noted that is his release clause. Fiorentina can (and would) choose to sell for much less.
