Tuttosport: Milan have concrete interest in Torino midfielder and have made a move

AC Milan have shown a concrete interest in signing Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci but they have so far hit a brick wall, a report claims.

Milan were repeatedly linked with a move for Ricci while he was at Empoli having already made two successful midfield signings from the Tuscan club prior in Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic, but he ended up joining Torino where he has continued his rise.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via TMW), Ricci’s performances have not gone unnoticed and a number of top Italian teams are interested in him, with Milan and Inter leading the pack.

The Rossoneri ‘have already made their move’ as per the paper, offering a player as part of an exchange deal that could well be Tommaso Pobega, given his successful time on loan with the Granata under Ivan Juric.

However, Inter chief Beppe Marotta is planning to put him with Italy team-mate Nicolò Barella in the midfield and even Napoli have expressed their interest in the 21-year-old.

At the moment Ricci is considered non-transferable by Torino to the extent that Urbano Cairo would not even sell him for €30m, and he wants to build the team of the future around him.
