Milan gaining confidence

According to MilanNews, there are some interesting new updates regarding the pursuit of the Ecuador international. A first offer was sent by the Milan directors worth around €12m, and it was considered too low for the green light.

Nonetheless, Milan’s pressure for Estupinan continues and it is helped by that fact that the player has given the green light to joining the Rossoneri. Encouraged by this, they will raise their offer to Brighton in the coming days.

Gianluca Di Marzio writes that ‘confidence is growing’ at Milan, with agent Jorge Mendes working to lower Brighton’s asking price. In the last few hours the discussions that have taken place have encouraged the Diavolo.

The left-back ‘has already expressed his desire to play for Milan’ so contacts between the two clubs continue steadily, with the gap narrowing slightly. Milan are eager to bring in a quality, reliable addition to Allegri’s squad following the departure of Theo.

  1. While I’m skeptical about his fitness, if he comes I’ll support him fully. I just hope they know what they’re doing. This guy has had long stretches on the sidelines because of muscle and ankle issues.

    1. yeah the injury record is terrible, the club should avoid him, or maybe they are using that as leverage to get the deal done for maybe 15M.

But I always held the belief that in todays market unless you are very rich you can afford to pay 40-60 Million on full-back. So I understand why the club has a smaller budget for the full-back position. I think the injury record will bite the team in the ass but who knows if Briton will even entertain a 14-15 Million bid in the first place.

      1. If they don’t, for his amount of injuries (he was out 25-30 games over two seasons if I recall correctly), then we shouldn’t pay more than 15 million. Certainly not more than 20 million.

I’m fine with Pubill as he played 40 games last season and is pass his injury issues, but Estupinan has way too many problems and is 27 already.

        1. We’ve made an €18mn bid, sounds like Brighton will sell him given they got De Cuyper. Im surprised we didn’t just get the Belgian in a double deal with Bruges (with this Jashari saga)

Estupinan is ok, but injury prone. I guess that means more minutes for Bartesaghi or Jimenez

  2. New Toure coming we dont know how find good young player. We only buy trush start from Toure,Origi,Morata,Royal,Walker,Felix,Jovic and lose our good players Tonali,Rijnders,Bartesaghi,Diaz,Colombo,Camarda,Adli,Benancer…
we dont know how good make better and how buy young who will be great. We know how buy trush and cry why they dont want left club before contract end😂🤭 This owners destroy this club

  3. Given the choice, I’d go for Fran Garcia – Estupinan’s ceiling is probably higher but the injury record is really worrying.

  4. The algorithm is king! If this is the best Tare can do: replace a player who has probably not had a breather in 5years plus, with a guy who has had almost the same number of injuries as Theo’s goals, the our SD is useless.
He will collect a good salary for sitting on the bench for half a year? What are these guys smoking? His own team deemed him insufficient and bought our “target” player to replace him, then we go and bid for him? What stopped is from getting Cuyper ourselves?
Tare has done nothing at all.
