Andriy Shevchenko has been announced as the new president of Ukrainian Association of Football, and AC Milan have sent their congratulations to him.
Sheva is the all-time top scorer for the Ukraine national team with 48 goals, while back in July 2016 he was appointed as the head coach of the national team and he led them to the quarter-finals at UEFA Euro 2020.
Shevchenko became the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine on 17 November 2022 but left that role roughly a year ago. Now, he has a new job relating to his country.
Today, Shevchenko was announced as Ukrainian Association of Football’s new president as 93 out of the 94 delegated voted for him, making it a real landslide result.

AC Milan published a tweet congratulating Shevchenko, who is still held dearly in the hearts of fans: “Congratulations and the best of luck to Andriy Shevchenko who has been elected president of the Ukrainian Association of Football!”
