Another source has linked AC Milan with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Can Uzun, after reports first emerged in Germany.
During the summer mercato, the management are aiming to strengthen the squad available to Massimiliano Allegri with both experienced players and also some exciting young talents. Today’s edition of the Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that Uzun is a target.

The 20-year-old playmaker at Eintracht Frankfurt certainly fits into the category of being a name for the future but also the present too. He has made 22 appearances and scored eight goals for the German club so far this season (two in the Champions League).
A jewel for the midfield?
With his exploits at such a young age, Uzun is captivating many top European clubs. A natural attacking midfielder, he has also demonstrated his ability to play as a striker, a false nine or as a left winger when needed.
Standing at 1.86m tall and right-footed (but good with both feet), he has been with the German club since 2024 and his contract expires in June 2029. His eight goals this season have also been paired with five assists, for a total of one goal/assist every 146 minutes.
According to Transfermarkt, his value is around €40-45m, but the figure could rise if the German talent goes under the hammer this summer. Bild, who first spoke of Milan’s interest, even claimed he could fetch €80m.
High praise
Uzun is often operating as a wide attacking midfielder alongside Mario Götze, who is full of praise for the youngster as shown in an interview earlier this season (via Bulinews).
“Can is top-class technically and has enormous talent. If he keeps at it, does things well, stays fit, and continues where he left off in pre-season, he has huge potential. That’s very important because we need a deep squad to compete in three competitions,” Götze said.
“If he wants to know something, he can, of course, ask me anytime. But I think you also have to make mistakes, make good or bad decisions yourself, and learn the right lessons for yourself.
“I was always a bit too impatient, but that probably comes with being young. You always want everything immediately. That’s a lesson I learned – that sometimes you need to give yourself a year or two.”
