Earlier in the window, it was suggested that two strikers could sign this summer. Now, AC Milan may follow through with that.
Last season, Milan had a four-striker department: Santiago Gimenez, Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic and Francesco Camarda. Only Gimenez remains from that group, and there is a need to add more firepower to the front line.

So, this is why the Rossoneri have spent all season browsing the mercato for an ideal option to come back into the team. Rasmus Hojlund and Dusan Vlahovic were the clear favourites, but this may not happen.
Two to come?
At one point, though, it was hypothesised that both could join the club. Despite neither looking too likely at the moment, the Rossoneri could still sign two new strikers this summer.

Victor Boniface is the name of today, and reports suggest that the Nigerian could even arrive later today, with an agreement hoped for. Then, the other new idea could also be explored further, that of Conrad Harder.
According to MilaNews, the Diavolo are ‘not giving up’ on the Dane, and he could arrive too. Sporting want a figure of €28 million, but around €25m could be enough. Considering his situation, he may be content with being a rotational option for the future for the time being.

Sorloth as the second one please.
I have not watched a single minute from this dane…. I have seen mitrovic couple of times play for Lecce, I would love if we can snatch him for 25mil
Mitrovic was really good at Fulham, but considering he is in Saudi Arabia and 30 years old, this Dane may have more runway ahead of him
Sørloth is Norwegian. Banging goals with Trabzonspor, Villa real, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid. He is 29 though, not that is a big scare
How about get one first before thinking about 2.
With Milan playing in only 1 competition there is absolutely no need nor space for 3 strikers. There won’t be much need of a rotation when you play 1 game every 7 days. How will they find time to use 3 different strikers?
Unless someone leaves, get Boniface plus another defender and call it a day.
I guess Allegri and Tare reeeeeaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyy don’t like Giménez.
I think maybe Allegri want someone who’s physically strong and can carry the ball forward which Gimenez lacs
Gimenez doesn’t need to carry the ball forward. He just has to be in the box to finish. The wingers and RLC/Jashari carry the ball forward.
Sure seems that way. Another FF (Furlani Fvckup) to fix.
If Alegri wants to play 352 then we need 2 more strikers
We already have 3 strikers in the 3-5-2 because Allegri use Leao and Pulisic as strikers in it. If we sign Boniface thats 4, thats problematic already cause is he gonna bench Pulisic and Leao?
If he plans to go with 3-4-3 and use Leao and Pulisic as wingers then Gimenez and Boniface is still needed for the CF role. But then we suddenly have 6 central midfielders for 2 positions?
To be honest this transfer window makes no sense. We start by signing players (lots of midfielders, no center backs of forwards) for a 4-3-3. Allegri starts playing 3-5-2 and now are looking for two “real” center forwards that would put Leao and Pulisic, our two best players on the bench? Its confusing as hell.
If we suddenly sell Musah and Fofana and Allegri plays 3-4-3 vs Cremonese it would all be alot more logical.
If we sign Boniface and keep Musah and Fofana and plays 3-5-2 on saturday it will be very interesting to see how Allegri handled Leao, Pulisic, Boniface and Gimenez going forward…
One potential summary of this your analysis is:
We have a great deal of depth in the squad. Allegri has the players to change a game when necessary.
Yea but he doesn’t have the personnel for either formation….kinda like two years ago when we bought a bunch of players and for zero formations. With the 433 you need a proper DM and a target striker, for 352 this reduces the effectiveness of Puli and Leao the two most important offensive guys on the team 🤷♂️. We once more have quantity, on paper good mind you, but it’s still quantity. Doeth means you have multiple players functional to the roles in your setup, not simply having alot of players
It make sense for me because from the first he come he intended to play 4-3-3 and thats where the transfer going for
He want new CF because Gimenez is not what he want, and why would they sign a CB when he already have 4, our midfield is sucks and we are losing Tiji
I can’t agree less.
Get boni n a defence and focus on integrating the team.
* sry Krstovic from Lecce
he is going to Atalanta
but if Benny-Rabiot swap can be done, Musah can be easily offloaded and used for Lookman… net spend should be same if we add 20-25M on top of Musah
Lookman?
Where are you going to play Lookman?
Milan will spend 50 mil to bring Lookman of the bench and be a backup for the wingers?
He can play as a striker too, he played many times at Atalanta. Yes 50 min but if they want Musah that’s already 25 mil
Cant you get it that allegri want a “big” man for striker? Why would they sign another “small” striker which he wont use
What are you smoking… Milan has never considered Lookman.
Keep that theory to yourself. You want to bring in Lookman and make in a rotational player to Leao
Boniface is better choice then Hojlund or Vlahovic,my opinion.
Conrad is interesting, can be world class, but why we let Camarda out?? He not even close to Camarda
You are right with this. Gimenez is left footed and you still want to sign two left footed strikers😂😂😂
Conrad and Camarda is two different players which we can benefit both. Imagine Inzaghi and Shevchenko. One is finisher another one is dribbler and ball carrier. 20 years old with goals in senior level, physically strong, dribbler, fast but tall. He has everything to be future star, I would say even better than Halland, whether he will live up for that potential or not is another story but definitely has great potential which would create nice duo with Camarda in the future. With strategy of selling wingers and having a lot of wingbacks shows that we definitely play with two strikers, Leao, Gimenez, Boniface and Conrad is very rich Frontline. He would also get some minutes to improve this year, considering injury history of our strikers.
Lookman would be the perfect striker for us, send them Musah plus another 25-30 mil
Yeah another small man to warm the bench with gimenez
Boniface is a top signing. If we are going g to play this dynamic 532/442, then we have to consider Leao and Pulisic as front line as well. We don’t need Harder, we need cover at centre back and if we get rid of Musah, we need cover in midfield.
Job done.
please can you repeat what you said, Boniface a top what Jesus Christ, oh you think AC Milan is now a bag of garbage that we will sign any player we see how can Milan even consider a player like that
No to Rabiot.
(Football Italia – Benatia’s own eye witness account)
“It was a locker room argument, we know these defeats can cause frustration. But there was physical aggression. It was a fight, let’s be honest, that’s the reality.
“Usually when there are words spoken, the coach comes in and speaks, it all calms down. Not here, it got into a physical confrontation, punches were thrown, Bakola felt unwell and fell to the ground, still they carried on.
“It was a scene of utter chaos. I’ve been in football 17-18 years, I’ve been a captain, sometimes you have heated exchanges, but you can’t have people punching each other in the face and security coming to separate you. Where are we? We’re here to play football.

Both could have ended up arrested facing criminal charges. And I’m surprised they didn’t.
Seems like Milan wants to seize opportunity get Harder which in my opinion is a very good idea.
Yea but how well do “project” strikers fare in Milan? Loans & sales without significant minutes. Just Ask Lazetic and Camarda.
3 yrs difference b/t Harder and Camarda.
My only guess here is that we see Boniface then Gimenez roll out in the next couple of years while Harder than Camarda roll in to bigger roles.
Or it is simply a hedge that Camarda’s development slows/stops.
Leao is injured and Chuckueze probably too. With the departure of Okafor someone needs to come in that just a striker.
The season is a long and more damage might occur. If they fail to land two forwards the transfer market and season might end up being a regret. Boniface can also play from the side like Okafor while the young Dane rotate with Santiago upfront
A cb like Kiwior would probably be a much better investment both no one is saying no to both of them if we can also get a cb . We just cannot play a 3 at the back with 4 cbs at the club
Harder is not even a starter for Sporting and they want 28 million. He scored only 6 goals all season. We would have been better off keeping Jovic or Camarda.
Who wants this nobody for 25 mil, totally out of nowhere
Get Harder 💪
He’s a hard sell … 😂
With a name like that he must be good. I’m sold
That’s just completely made up, not happening.
If Boniface joins, I definitely support Conrad idea. First of all, He is young and can only increase value and contribution to the team, secondly if we have Leao, Boniface and Gimenez, it is not worthy to pay another 6-12 million net to another injury prone striker, thirdly, Vlahovic or Hojlund wouldn’t join to compete with those three, even if they do join, motivation and mood will drop in teams if they don’t play. So let’s keep one young lad who will give everything whenever is needed and will not create drama when he doesn’t play
While I am excited about the new signings, Tare and Allegri are changing the whole squad which is not without risks. Players will need to gel and to get to know each other. We may drop many early points.
Word is now that we’ll bring two strikers (Boniface and Harder) but will get rid of Gimenez. If this is true, I don’t like it. It’s too early to lose Gimenez; there is an adaptation period to Serie A and now he may have a very good season.
Don’t see anything about Gimenez being let go…
I did some searching about Gimenez and see nothing. Where you are you getting the words?
I do agree with you that he needs a season without chaos to evaluate that spend.
From Pianeta Milan dot It
Thank you.
This is what I’ve been warning….too many changes… Chemistry takes time
What’s the problem? Santiago Gimenez has been in Milan for 1/2 year. He is working hard for his place. Why does Alegri hate him? A class striker that Milan would be happy with!!!
Because we need more than one forward?
Pro sports is a ruthless meritocracy.
1. Always have your players looking over their shoulder at the next guy up (or get get Jack Grealish)
2. Always assume a player will be injured or leave for more money so there is a next guy up.
This is simply business as usual. It likely says, “We have Santi and Boniface + Harder will make him better.”
We need to push…harder
Hard pass.
Well I certainly hope there are absolutely zero complaints about Milan’s market moves. All things considered, management have done very well on the buy and sell side. A few more moves to go, but so far so good.
Please not spoiled baby Vhalovic… and don’t overpay for Hojlund. I’m not certain we even need another striker. Man City has proven before that attacking midfielders can form the entire attack.
Milan have young potential striker like Colombo, Camarda, Nasti, the question is why Milan don’t use them for Gimenez back up? Why Milan don’t give them minutes playing as a rotation, cause Gimenez not tune up already with serie A? If Young Gun got minutes playing its become mature player, n become great, cause they can optimize their potentials n more up their skill n mentality.
You are obviously not following. Neither of these players are currently with Milan. Camarda was sold to Lecce (but with a buy back clause), Nasti was sold permanently to Cremonese (and then they loaned him to Empoli), and Colombo was loaned to Genoa.
LMAO Name me a striker that actually has worth. Because Colombo, Camarda and Nasti have shown absolutely zero.
That sucks they should have just spent 70 mill on one top striker, we only need one other striker with no Europe
Arsenal & Manchester United just did. And it was a clown show in the game between them. There is 0 point overpaying for overhyped strikers.
ZIRKZEE
we buy boniface, okafor is for Harder. make sense.
Milan no need Conrad. Last season play 29 times + 6 goals. That not good from striker who value 28m. Over hyped
With too many signings the season might turn out to be like montela’s season where we sign lots of players for no formation in mind.what formation is d man planning to even play cos there is no need for lots of attackers to fight for 2 spot every 7 days.only logic is if we are playing 4-3-3 but then again that wud unbalance d defensive solidity of the team.but fingers crossed.we keep watching
The Mexican will explode this season and I wud take the Nigerian and the Dane.. one for now and one for later we have a buyback Clause for Camarda
We could kept for my part…and harder just need to be refined
For me AC Milan needs to sign Strand Larsen from Wolves he already have experience in La Liga and the Premiere League and he is doing really good but Milan also need a top playmaker
