CorSera: Milan seriously considering €15m Fiorentina man to plug crucial gap in squad

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make an investment in the January transfer market to bolster the centre-back options after Simon Kjaer’s injury, a report claims.

Kjaer’s season is unfortunately already over after he underwent an operation to repair his knee ligaments, and according to this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) Milan will have to dip in to the market in January to bring in a central defender to flesh out the numbers in Stefano Pioli’s squad.

Among the names circulating is that of Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina, a player who has already been followed by Milan for a long time in the past. The Serbian defender has an asking price of €15m at the moment, as per the paper.

Milenkovic would certainly come in and offer reliable cover given the fact he knows Serie A well and is also an established international for a resurgent Serbia side.
