In the past few months, AC Milan have fluctuated regularly on Tammy Abraham’s future, and after this weekend, there are new thoughts being had.
There has been a lot said about Abraham recently, and we are now getting closer to a point of clarification, it seems.
Milan made a move for the Englishman at the end of the summer mercato, after going back and forth during the window over signing him. After an initial bright start, the striker then began to suffer from a string of poor performances.
However, since the turn of the year, Abraham has begun to show his self of old self, playing like the striker who many imagined he could be during the peak of his career so far. After all, consistency has been the biggest Achilles heel of his career to date.
Now, though, he is repaying the faith instilled in him by Sergio Conceicao, as Corriere dello Sport write. For the first time since September, the striker has started three consecutive games, whilst also scoring in his past two games. The most recent goal takes his tally to double figures for the season, whilst also adding four assists.
With this information, and Santiago Gimenez’s own struggles, there is a growing idea to keep him at the club next season, with Milan considering a loan deal, rather than a permanent deal.
I would not sign Abraham. I don’t know what it is about him but he has no left foot and for a tall player he is not good in the air.
Milan should really go for Victor Boniface, Lorenzo Lucca, Retegui or any striker who is good in the air and in the penalty box.
Signing Abraham would be a steal. He’s super undervalued right now due to circumstances outside of his control like getting an ACL injury and being thrust into a back up role.
If given a starting role, he’ll get 15-20 goals a season.
No, he won’t.
Leao and Abraham as strikers in 442
with Gimenez, Jovic and Camarda as subs
Oh, how I wish Rafa could play in the 9 or even in the supporting striker role, then I see him making a pass after bullying/walking down defenders; case and point the failed assist to Tammy and/or Musah in the first 20 minutes v Fiorentina. Unfortunately, Rafa was too conditioned as a winger in his formative years and by his own admission can’t transition into a true goal scorer or anywhere in the center. Even if he’s started there, either he’s obsolete or he drifts to the left which leaves the team with no edge upfront. The solution was always to sign Zirkzee or a similar central attacker. A poor man’s Kaka if you will who could do even a third of what Kaka was capable of considering players like Ricky are unearthed maybe once every 20-30 years. Maybe move Tiji permanently upfront. Then have a solid striker, a very talented all round mid duo with one being a defensive guru and one just as good or better than Sandro. Puli/Rafa out wide, but of course all this is pointless if the defensive 4 are not in sync. Theo must go, Walker has one more good year at best and our CB pairing can’t even defend balls over the top. God-Awful Central defending consistently destroyed our first half , majority of games this season. And that’s with any combination of the 4 we have at CB. Barring Gabbia, the other three step up or ship out. Tremendous respect to Pavlovic but I’d rather have an ambivalent but talented CB than an error-prone one with buckets of heart!
You people are on crack if you think Abraham will do anything.
Without Abraham having joined Milan were they better of,hehe .
or the old 41212
Milan has the perfect regista and trequartista in Reijnders and Pulisic
——————-Leao—-Abraham
————————Pulisic
—————Fofana———–Bondo
———————-Reijnders
I would say swap Tiji and Fofana… Fofana played way better under Fonseca… he distributed ball well. Bondo or an actual defensive midfielder would operate similar to Gatusso to guard him while Tiji would do his thing.
I would also love to see Tiji and Puli as LM and RM in 4-4-2, but for that we don’t have many defensive midfielders. Hope Ricci is signed, he would do wonders in both system.
fu** this season is fuc*** year zero again
I would consider signing him if we get red of Gimenez and buy a starting striker. Abraham has been good this season despite all the mediocre coaching we had this season. He has to reduce his salary though
He could be a good player but has to learn better vision. He instinctively passes left and has missed too many Pulisic runs to count. Strange, since most of the offensive changes, including his own, goes through Pulisic (just about the only time he passed to him).
Can someone explain what Milan will do this cuz we have no money to buy anyone yet ppl be talking abt f***ing Abraham. With the limited money we have we should be spending it wisely. Management is never paying 40 30 m for RICCI. We’ll just get the plan Z for each position that needs improvement.
Ps. Does anyone have an estimate on how much money we’ll have this summer.
I’m still having a hard time to find a name for those fans who think Gimenez is not good enough for Milan bcos he hasn’t been able to score after many games he has started.
Same nonsense these set of people said when Tammy failed to convert some big chances under Fonseca at the start of the season. Must you always use the same energy you used to sending CDK away to Atalanta?
No, no way we sign him permanently 😃😃 we need stronger striker and I don’t think someone like Zlatan would throw money for striker with 3 goals in 26 Serie A games … there is more and better opportunities then him and most important think is we need The Striker , no someone who is think he is a striker…
