Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that AC Milan are in the running for Leon Goretzka, and that Serie A might well appeal to him.
Over the past few weeks, the narrative has emerged that everyone at Milan seems to agree on Goretzka being a smart signing for the summer. He has the experience that Massimiliano Allegri wants and he will leave Bayern Munich for free, reducing the financial strains of the operation.

However, there are some obstacles to overcome. While securing Champions League football would be a big step forward, there is talk of a €10m signing-on bonus being requested by the German international, while there is believed to be competition from other top European clubs.
Patience needed
Fabrizio Romano shared an update on his YouTube channel regarding where the Goretzka sweepstakes stand at the moment, with his comments transcribed by MilanNews.
“The player would love an experience at another big European club; the idea of playing in Italy tempts him, but Serie A isn’t the only option. Milan have been in contact with his agents for some time, and Juventus have also inquired, though the timeframe and cost are deemed high,” he said.
“Inter have also considered the move, but are out of the running. What should definitely be said is that for Goretzka, it won’t be a matter of days. He’ll take a few weeks to decide, especially since, as mentioned, other clubs are interested in him.”

All any average EPL club has to do is throw in extra 10mil signings bonus and there goes any Italian dream.
