Tuttosport: Milan convinced by Origi – his signing would preserve budget for other roles

The Milan mangement are busy planning how the attack of the future will look and they are focusing on signing Divock Origi, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews) the Rossoneri have had contact with the entourage of the 26-year-old Belgian, who would not mind a new adventure after a far from satisfactory experience in the Premier League in terms of playing time.

He would arrive as a free agent and has a salary within the reach of Milan given that with Liverpool he earns €2.35m net per season, meaning the costs of the deal are in line with the club’s parameters.

Maldini and Massara are continuing to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of going for Origi, who is a player with the right experience to strengthen Pioli’s squad in this respect as well. He has just 14 appearances so far this season but has scored 5 goals and has added 3 assists.

The signing of Origi would allow managers to be able to transfer the budget available for the summer to other roles such as a centre-back (Sven Botman the main target) a midfielder who can replace Kessie (like Renato Sanches) and a right winger (like Domenico Berardi).
